Self-guided modules are available anytime online for registered users. Live modules will take place at a scheduled date and time. Sign up for our newsletter and be the first to find out when the next live session is announced.
At this time, Academy content is only available to AVPN members. All our modules are designed to accommodate different levels of social investment knowledge, from novice to expert practitioners. AVPN members will be able to access the modules once you register and create your individual learning profile.

There is no limit on the number of modules you can take.

Typically, a self-guided module consists of 5-6 lessons around 5 minutes each for a total running time of about 30 minutes.

Live modules will usually run between 60-90 minutes.

Both self-guided and live modules will often include recommended readings which would take additional time.

Absolutely, you may take all our modules as often as you like.

As the AVPN Academy grows, we intend to introduce modules in more languages. Right now, we are focused on developing more modules in English, especially as we are still testing and pushing out new features on the site.

You do not have to watch all the lessons in one module, but we strongly recommend following the module structure to gain a more cohesive and comprehensive understanding of the topic.

No special software or computer equipment is required. AVPN Academy is designed to be accessible on mobile, tablet and desktop.

AVPN Academy actively supports and tests the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari. We try our best to support certain older browsers and the previous versions of iOS and Android but there may be some differences in the delivery of content to users of platforms.

There are a number of reasons why you may be having trouble:

  • A full cache or outdated cookies
  • Flash version is outdated
  • JavaScript is disabled
  • Video/audio is unavailable
  • Add-ons and extensions
  • An incompatible browser

Do troubleshoot to see if any of the above options could be the cause of the problem. If you are still unable to resolve the issues, you may contact our support team at academy.avpn.asia for assistance.

The most likely cause of this problem is a slow or fluctuating connection speed. We recommend an internet connection with a consistent speed of 1.5Mbps or above.

Inclusive Business

Companies may choose to adopt an inclusive business model or approach that provides goods, services, and livelihoods on a commercially viable basis to people living at the base of the pyramid (BoP). Depending on the nature and size of the organisation, companies can do this by directly incorporating the BoP in their core value chain, or by piloting inclusive business initiatives through their corporate impact efforts.

Corporate Foundation

The foundation is created as a separate legal entity from the corporation, but with close ties to the corporation. Corporate foundations tend to make grants in fields related to their corporate activities or in communities where the corporation operates, or where their employees reside.

Employee Engagement

Employee engagement is any formally organised support or encouragement from companies to leverage employee time, knowledge, skills or other resources to support impact organisations. Employee engagement can vary from corporate volunteering (hands-on or skill-based, virtual or on-site volunteering) and/or corporate giving (payroll giving, employee matching) to co-investment programmes.

Corporate Social Responsibility
