This workshop aims to take a step back from the entire school system as we know it and to encourage a more imaginative approach for what school could be if we imagined a complete “start-again.” The world in which we live
has changed beyond recognition and with the introduction of AI, the possibilities are endless.

The format of this workshop will be two meetings with a mini-project in between. Participants will gather feedback from individuals in their workplace on what is needed to prepare our learners for the future world. The first workshop will focus on brainstorming our own ideas about school environments, curriculum, and the structure of the school day. In the second we will explore attendees’ mini-projects, and draw conclusions from our collective feedback.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to:

• Use course content in their own context, e.g. for professional development or for a school project
• Have processes to change something in their own context, e.g. learning programs outside of school hours
• Have evidence of new ideas that are tried and tested in other contexts to apply to their own
