How Do We Move from Charity to Strategic Investment?
The case for investment is clear: when more women work, economies grow and shared prosperity increases. It is estimated that closing the gender gap could give the global economy a USD 7 trillion boost. Yet, despite this immense potential, women and girls—half of humanity—often remain under-recognised and under-resourced.
To close these gaps, we must engage with the beliefs and values that drive long-term social commitment. For many, faith is more than a private conviction; it is a practical framework and a primary motivator for partnerships and resource allocation. Despite this, these values-driven perspectives are often overlooked within the broader social investment space. This session aims to bridge that gap.
Join us for an AVPN Learning Circle as we explore how faith—and the underlying values and beliefs—can support and enable a transition from charity to strategic investment. Grounded in a practitioner-led case study, this closed-door, Chatham House Rule conversation invites philanthropists, investors, and corporates—both faith-aligned and otherwise—to leverage the wisdom of the crowd in uncovering potential pitfalls and surface actionable solutions for the gender financing gap.
