SUMMARY:Community of Practice Launch - AI Skilling for Social Impact
DESCRIPTION:With AI projected to add USD 3 trillion to Asia-Pacific’s GDP by 2030\, the region is at a pivotal moment in leveraging AI for social impact—but realizing this potential requires more than technology; it requires people. At AVPN\, we are committed to mobilising capital and resources to support AI skilling across Asia-Pacific. To advance this goal\, we are launching the AI Skilling for Social Impact Community of Practice (CoP)—a collaborative platform bringing together funders\, resource providers\, and impact leaders to explore how AI skills can be developed\, localized\, and scaled for communities with unmet needs. \nThe CoP will be formally introduced on 11 November through a virtual convening. Participants joining the session will have an opportunity to: \n\nDiscover effective AI skilling solutions from across the region.\nExplore strategies to deploy capital and resources for maximum social impact.\nShare insights and experiences to accelerate AI readiness for underserved communities.\n\nThrough interactive polls\, real-time feedback\, and shared insights\, participants will also help shape the CoP’s agenda\, connect with peers across markets\, and join a growing network turning AI potential into meaningful social impact. \nRegister your interest here by 28th October to join this emerging community of practice.
