With AI projected to add USD 3 trillion to Asia-Pacific’s GDP by 2030, the region is at a pivotal moment in leveraging AI for social impact—but realizing this potential requires more than technology; it requires people. At AVPN, we are committed to mobilising capital and resources to support AI skilling across Asia-Pacific. To advance this goal, we are launching the AI Skilling for Social Impact Community of Practice (CoP)—a collaborative platform bringing together funders, resource providers, and impact leaders to explore how AI skills can be developed, localized, and scaled for communities with unmet needs.
The CoP will be formally introduced on 11 November through a virtual convening. Participants joining the session will have an opportunity to:
- Discover effective AI skilling solutions from across the region.
- Explore strategies to deploy capital and resources for maximum social impact.
- Share insights and experiences to accelerate AI readiness for underserved communities.
Through interactive polls, real-time feedback, and shared insights, participants will also help shape the CoP’s agenda, connect with peers across markets, and join a growing network turning AI potential into meaningful social impact.
