The AI for Good: Learning Series is a curated programme that equips change makers with the knowledge and tools to harness AI ethically and effectively in advancing social impact.

As AI adoption accelerates, the question isn’t just “Can we use AI?” but “How do we use AI responsibly and in line with our values?”

Our third session in the series invites AI-curious changemakers—funders, nonprofits, and innovators—to explore how data and AI can strengthen impact while empowering teams, engaging partners, and maintaining trust with communities using a people first approach.

In this session, you’ll be introduced to frameworks and tools such as the Data Maturity Assessment (DMA), a free tool by data.org that helps organisations assess where they are on their data and AI journey and prioritise the right strategies and investments.

Through real-world use cases and guided activities, this session focuses on what truly drives successful AI adoption: shared understanding, organisational readiness, and ethical, people-centered practices.

What you’ll learn:

  • Real-world examples: See how social impact organisations are using data and AI effectively.
  • Practical frameworks and tools: Learn to use the Data Maturity Assessment (DMA) by data.org to understand your organisation’s AI readiness and prioritise the right strategies
  • People-first approaches: Identify people-first starting points for responsible AI adoption
  • Resources: Access practical resources to continue building shared understanding among your teams to use data and AI responsibly and effectively in their everyday work.
